LibraryThing: "The Book of Fate" and "Old Man's War"

I have updated my LibraryThing catalog with reviews of The Book of Fate by Brad Meltzer and Old Man's War by John Scalzi.

I'm now reading Soon I Will Be Invincible by Austin Grossman. The book came highly recommended...

I enjoyed Book of Fate more than you did, evidently. I understand what you meant by wanting to reach out and shake the main character, but I took that as a character note, that he was so lost in what he had gone through and what he felt he owed certain other characters that he couldn't see the things that were obvious to me as a reader (listener, actually).

Good luck on Invincible.

With regard to The Book of Fate, I initially attributed Wes' actions to character flaws, but as the story went on, I lost the ability to make such attribution (for example: why in the world would he go back to his apartment when he knows that the assassin is loose?). Oh, well.

As to Soon I Will Be Invincible, I've now finished it and posted a review over at LibraryThing. I'm curious what you meant by "Good luck". Did you enjoy it or not? I will say that I thought of our days in Evanston sitting around reading comics while I was reading the book.
