[Baroque Cycle #1] by Neal
Stephenson -- I'm was enjoying this book very much; however,
it is very slow going and I've found myself needing
to take breaks to read faster, more action-packed books. At
present, I've put Quicksilver aside, but I do plan to
return to it. I've just been much more in the mood for
What I'm Planning to Read Soon - The following is my
notorious "reading list"; of course as new books are published, this
list is continually getting shuffled. If you'd like to suggest a
book, send me an
I've deleted the entire list pending an update.
[entire list being revised...]
And just in case that wasn't enough, I also plan to read (or
finish) the following series:
The Wheel of Time (I've
finished the first two books; 10 more to catch up)
Kirk McGarvey (series by
David Hagberg; I've finally started this series now that I've
found the first two books that had eluded me for years)
Modesty Blaise (I've always
wanted to read these, but only completed the set a few years ago)
Danielle Barnea & Ben Kamal
(multi-book series by Jon Land)
Finally, I occasionally take a little time to read some
non-fiction (I'm often reading one or more of these books while
I'm reading one of the fiction books above):
For some unknown reason, over the years many people have found
me to be a useful source for book recommendations. So, I decided
to use this medium to offer my book recommendations. If you
decide to read one of the books that I mention, please let me
know what you thought about it!
Music - As anyone who has seen my CD shelves knows, I'm
also a big music fan.
Big Country -
own Big Country Page (and home of the Big Country Book of Lyrics).
James Bond fan (particularly the books, but I love the movies too).
And yes, Timothy Dalton was a great James Bond and "On Her Majesty's
Secret Service" is the most underrated of the Bond movies. For
was spectacular and so was Daniel Craig.
